Bingo

I thought it might amuse those of you reading this to know that tonight I went to Bingo.

Laugh though you may, my girlfriend and I both won GBP30 seperately. What are the odds of that? I mean, the odds of winning are pretty slight anyway but for two people at the same table to both win in two seperate games must be phenominal.

Evening cost us about GBP25 so we are about GBP35 up. If only it could be like that every night.

Programming-wise, I've ditched my C++ Builder app to create compiled sprite files and have written a unit for a console app that can read any .BMP file and convert it into an array of RGB pixel data. I can now use this to read a script specifiying bitmaps and associated alpha images and create a bank of multiple images ready to be loaded on to a texture for use in my 2D D3D engine.

For those of you following this journal, yes I have got bored with my text adventure language and have returned to developing my graphics-based stuff.

Congrats on the £60!

And graphics-based stuff is more fun anyway[grin].

Cheers. Bingo is horrendous though. It really is a different world in there - one that I had no idea existed.

When they call number 11, everybody whistles in synchrony. It is quite frightening. Shades of sort of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or The Ordeal.
