First Inkscape tutorial *finally* done!

Random Thought of the Day:
It's a bit silly that September is the ninth month of the year instead of the seventh. We really should start the year in March.

Inkscape Adventures!
The draft version of my Inkscape tutorial!
Please have a look and tell me what you think!

After a long slog to get this thing to a moderately finished state, I'm happy to say that my Inkscape tutorial is now official in a "draft" state! That means I'm pleased enough with it to post in here in my journal for all you educated journal readers to have a look and offer your expert opinions. Please have a look and tell me what you think, if I need to make any changes and if everything is clear and understandable. Once I'm happy enough that the tutorial is of sufficient quality I'll put a proper link at the start of my journal page, add a link to my signature for forum postings and make an announcement on a relevant forum (Visual Arts? Your Announcements? Not sure which).

For those of you who are interested, at the moment I've done the first tutorial, and finished the following pages:
  • The index page. Nothing too special about this one!
  • A general introduction going over the basics of the tutorial and what equipment I recommend. I'll probably put more miscellaneous stuff in here later.
  • An introduction to Inkscape: basically a quick overview of all the Inkscape tools and how they can be used in art.
  • Tutorial 1: An example where I go through the character creation process and a whole variety of Inkscape techniques with the worked example of creating this cute little guy:

I'm also open for recommendations as to what you would like to see in Tutorial 2. Don't expect me to start work on that for a fortnight or so - I need a break to do some programming and art of my own! - but I am ready to tailor the direction of the tutorial to whatever you think is of most use. Of course, if I don't get any feedback I'll assume no-one's really interested too, so even if you just want to see a continuation of the tutorials I'd be happy to hear from you.

Once again:

It's because some of the months were added later.

I don't have the time right now to actually try it out, but the tutorial looks pretty good after a quick skim over it.

July and August, if I remember correctly. Stupid Roman emperors and their months!
It doesn't make it less stupid. Although January would seem a little silly as the eleventh month (I think it's named after Janus, the two faced Roman god of doorways and beginnings/endings?)

Thanks for all the positive comments so far. I hope the tutorial will be useful
