The MAGIC is gone...

So, I don't think I'm going to have anything ready by the deadline of the MAGIC competition. Not only am I designerly-challenged, but I've also been horribly sick the last few days, which has put a stop to any productivity. Not to mention the fact that I've got a big project due for school next Wednesday that I've barely started, and I imagine will consume my entire weekend.

On a lighter note, work is still going well, aside from missing a few days this week to illness. I wrote an awesome little bug today that absolutely thrashed the stack. Let that be a lesson to you out there: reinterpret casting and then calling virtual functions on an object with a garbage vtable is not safe. Who knew [lol]?

Edit: Also, on a non-lighter note, in reading the MAGIC thread, I just found out about what happened to Prozak and his family [sad]. My condolences.

Hope you get better soon, and sorry to hear that illness has forced you out of the contest. It's always a potential hazard for a short contest like this that unexpected things jump out at you to derail you.

On the brighter side, 4E6 should be starting relatively soon, so there's another much bigger contest waiting for you.
