I cannot believe how relaxed, pleasant and enjoyable my new job is. I know it is early days, but I have never in my life worked in an atmosphere like this. I cannot believe how lucky I am.
Yesterday's issues already feel like they happened months ago. I was very amused today when one of my new colleagues told me the story of his references when he joined - company rang the two contacts he had given who both basically said - "Who? We have never heard of this guy." at which point he had to admit that he had basically made up his entire CV and put two completely fictitious referees. He has now been in the job for about two years [smile].
I appear to have landed very squarely on my feet. Happy days indeed.
Hoping to do some programming tonight so maybe actual post some game dev in my GameDev journal at some point soon.
