EDIT: Based on feedback, I've got another candidate:

So as I mentioned in the last post, I've written a novel. It's based on the story of Goblinson Crusoe, my current in-production game. The novel is in near-final draft status, so lately I've been working on candidates for cover art. The idea for the cover art is to re-use as many existing assets as I can, from what I've created already for the game. Here is a possible candidate that I put together this afternoon and evening:

I'm not 100% sure on the font, layout of the title/name text, even on the title itself. All of this right now is just test stuff to let me get some feedback. I think that, for having reused resources, it turned out pretty okay. Thoughts?

I like the font, but would be nice if it was a bit more textured?

Yeah, the plain font was kind of bugging me as well.

I like the claymation look to the scene. The newer cover is better, but maybe reduce the amount of vertical black space it takes up, and use the extra space to show more of the beautiful mountains from like on the first cover (you could also take up some of the sky's space for mountains as well).

O-san
I liked the classic style of the first cover. Reminded me of some fantasy books I've seen.
