Z Problems

I'm temprarily shelfing my streaking effect. It seems that you can't render to a target that is the texture you have set. This means that I need a second back buffer to apply the streaking effect. At the moment, however, I need to work on a problem I'm having rendering my mesh objects. When I change my render target, it appears as if my Z Buffer gets messed up. I suddenly get faces of my objects that are rendered inappropriately in front of other faces that should occlude them.
