New players online record

Today we broke the players online record, with 554 humans on, and 47 or so bots.
The old record was 515, but it also included the bots, and at that time we had around 100 bots.
This is really cool, of course, but it's also a signal to us that we should look for another server soon, because I don't really want more than 1K players+bots on a server, as it might get too crowded.
However, the server, I believe, can handle up to 2K players and bots plus another 2K animals and NPcs, so for a while we might increase the limit from the current 1K to maybe 1.5K and see how the server handles that.
We also have to buy a new machine, this one is a dual pentium 3, 1Ghz, and 1GB RAM.
The new one will be a dual core AMD64, 3200+, and will cost close to 2K USD (we'll need a RAID and on site customer support, which makes it expensive).

Pretty cool! Soon you may have to start distributing loads between multiple servers [grin]

Not really, I want each server to be totally independent and separate it (different instances of the same world).
