Looking for programmers to join flight sim project (unpaid)

Team Superhornet.

Team Superhornet.

Brief description:
Modernization/updating popular in-depth combat flight simulator, which models the FA-18E Superhornet and carrier based naval aviation. The project involves conversion of 11 year old sim to 100% Windows 7 compatibility to function on modern systems and support modern graphics. We also aim to improve systems modeling, weapons modeling, and add other airframes (primarily F-18F) in accordance with available unclassified documentation.

Target aim:
Freeware (requires a copy of original software).

Compensation:
None whatsoever. Gotta do it for the love of the genre, and/or for something highly visible to put on your resume.

Technology:
DirectX, C++

Talent needed:
Primary needs are C++ programmers. Also require some expertise in terrain/tile creation, improvement of AI behavior. 3D artists may be a requirement at later stages. We have a current project 'wish-list' on our team forums.

Frenchy - our main C++ programmer, our very overloaded workhorse (France)

Blitz - terrain/tile research and development (Slovenia)
Polak - terrain/tile research and development (US)

Previous Work by Team:
Team has been existence for 8+ years, producing several major versions of TSH (version 1, version 2, version 3 and now version 4). All versions are cumulative and contained in the current version TSH 4.02.

For those that are interested in the in-depth flight sim genre, naval aviation (carrier ops) in particularly, this is for you.

For the rest, this is at least a real team that has worked together many years, developing a real product has (still) a real following.

We are right now looking for somebody with some experience using Visual Basic 2008... need somebody to help with some debugging.
