Well, we''ve launched the third round of beta testing for our online game called Cry of the Ancients. Cry of the Ancients (COTA) is a web browser based game set in the war torn lands of Elaera. Build up your armies, research technologies, and hire generals to lead your kingdom. COTA is different than most browser based games in that you command a small group of generals. These generals are your lifelines. Without them, you are limited in what you can do and your defences are non-existent. As they perform more operations successfully, they increase their skills, thus becoming more useful, more powerful, more costly in terms of salary, not to mention becoming the target of enemy operations. Take care, because they can still be killed at the hands of a skilled assassin. Using generals you can spy on the enemy, thieve, sabotage, burn enemy buildings, bribe the enemy generals, and even assassinate them! Engage in diplomacy and war against others. Take your kingdom and form an empire, invite (or bribe) others to join your empire. Technologies can increase your efficiency in a number of different ways, from gold income, to food production, reduced troop training costs, and more! If you wish to become a technology monger, you can buy and sell technology on the open market. So, come check it out. The game supports thousands of simultaneous players now, thanks to some recent major upgrades. All you need to play is a valid email account. Grab some friends, sign on, and band together to form your empires. With hundreds of previous beta testers and more signing up all the time, this will be our biggest round yet.
