I know this may sound dumb but remember I'm new. I have been looking around to buy the Microsoft Visual C++ compiler, but am confused by the names. I've heard of Visual C++, and Visual C++.NET. Are they the same thing? Which is the one to buy? I'm confused.. help [edited by - julienX on December 21, 2002 10:55:50 AM]

i am god!
Visual C++.NET is the latest VC++. It features .NET but it can also compile unmanaged code. If you are buying Visual C++ you''re probally going to get VC++6.
Try here. Its just where I got to from microsoft.com but it''s a start. Have a look around.
