Hello-- We have a web server running Red Hat 6.X using ipchains to forward various ports to other services/servers on our network. We would like to assign one of our internet IP''s that is not being used to a Windows 2000 server on our internal network. The only way I''m aware of for this to work is to throw another network card in the system we want to place on the internet and assign it that internet IP we want to use. However, I was thinking there might be a way to alias the IP address to the Linux web server then use ipchains to forward all traffic to/fro the internal IP of the server we want to make available. Is this possible or do we need to throw two network cards in the 2000 box? Thanks for any and all replies!!
