Hi. What is the difference between COM and COM+? I read Inside COM by Dale Rogerson. I do not have the book because it is out of print, so I had to borrow it from the library. Anyways, is there any significant reason as to why that book is out of print? I thought it is an exceptional book in terms COM architecture, design and implemetation. I am ready to design and implement COM components and need a reference book. I want Inside COM! Nonetheless, I am reluctant to buy a used copy and I would like to know if there is any real reason it is out of print such as the concepts Rogerson goes over are false or are wrong. Thanks, Kuphryn

COM+ is just a set of particular COM interfaces and components designed specifically for remoting system objects. Things such as the Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) are based on COM+.
