Not necessarily too big, but if it''s merely a plug for the host and not third-party ads (like what GameDev uses) then I think there''s no reason for it to be quite that big. Basically it should be big enough to be easy to read and you should summarize hosting stats on the banner (price, "ASP/CGI/FTP", etc.)

<font face="Courier New" color=#FF4020>~<font color=#80FF00>CGameProgrammer</font>( );</font>

If it''s free screw them, make it 800x600.
From over a hundred viewings nobody wants free hosting? Compared to any other free hoster I giving;

-Very Fast Servers
-Loads of Bandwidth
-ASP CGI-BIN etc...
-FULL FTP ACCESS (no messing with these browser upload clients)
-Much More Space

I Have now finished my pathetic effort to start a community.

Please, come children of the night! and Join!!

Seems to good to be true imho

but I am curious
Since it is in exchange for showing a banner it''s not free.

People that care anything at all about their sites understand that reliable hosting can''t be free and are prepared to pay for the service provided. Those that don''t care might still not want to act on an offer where a hotmail address is the only contact point...
go to www.fasthosts.co.uk - I have a reseller account, all services there are mine.

Contact point - Im not going to give out a phone number on the web in a forum!

would an AOL address do " horizonpublish@aol.com "

Is that 400megabits per second? Isn''t that ADSL?

I work for an ISP host my stuff for free. LOL. As far as you know someone could post source code to linux and most likely use 10 GB to a day. With info and banners to other stuff.

As for the last guys comment about a ASDL are you kidding? Its 1.54 mb not 400 MB. Asking that dumb of a question about speed and the internet is begging to be slapped.

As for the 400 MB you say nothing about SQL 2000 or anything else on your add nor do you say diskspace........ Those are very valid arguements.

Just ping''ed the address and get destination unreachable. 100%.

Which on a tracert says its in london. Yeah I am going to put anything worth while half way around the world. With no way of adminitrating the box its on nor debugging any connection or speed issues to it. And the price of 1.99 tells me I get little to none in the way of support.

Personally I wouldn''t look at this add if it was posted on Gamedev''s main page.
--What are you nutz?I have nothing to say to your unevolved little brain. The more I say gives you more weapons to ask stupid questions.
Thanks for that negative thaught of yours

here''s your comments blasted---------------

- Thats great my friend! but my little hosting site is not a Blooming ISP HOST IS IT!!! - banners are a few kb say 15, Its going to take 666,666 (well over half a million) hits A DAY to use that much bandwidth, good one!

"As for the 400 MB you say nothing about SQL 2000 or anything else on your add nor do you say diskspace........ Those are very valid arguements."

- If you READ what i type you would see that I was offering hosting on a basis of get as much disk space within reasoning. One person will need more or less than the next.

"Just ping''ed the address and get destination unreachable. 100%."

- Thats just your crap PC my friend

"And the price of 1.99 tells me I get little to none in the way of support."

- Support, presumption is the mother of all *uck ups. You get very good support. Better than wringing an ISP like AOL, their trainees dont know the difference between broadband and dial up.

So you see my hosting is fast, click on my sites. Its for people who want a good deal and want to speak to people, not an answerphone system.

AND IF YOU READ WHAT I SAID I WAS OFFERING IT FOR FREE

Doesn''t that suck? If you give the person a www.namehere.com/YOURSITE/ wouldn''t that allow you to look at the person''s stuff and change stuff as you want? Why not offer a subdomain instead of a folder? Correct me if I''m wrong about this but this is only an opinion. Disregard this this if it offends you.
