Hello I''m hosting a game programming competition. The goal of the competition is to write a complete game from scratch in a single weekend. Impossible? Yes. Sane? No. Fun? Yes! The competition will be held from November 21 to 24. Find more information on the website here: http://www.student.wau.nl/~martijni. There are no prizes but it is going to be a lot of fun. On the website you can find links to similar competitions, and you can check out what others have produced in just 72 hours. This competition is intended for users of the Allegro game programming library. In case you don''t know, Allegro (http://alleg.sourcefore.net/) is a portable (Dos, Windows, Linux and more) game programming library that is easy to use and easy to set up. Please let me know if you want to join!

only allegro?
How appropriate, you fight like a cow!
Yeah, that way it is cross platform, and it is easier to compile eachothers code if we use only one lib.
Why not Java?
java is allowed, but you still have to use allegro

edit: perhaps I didn't make it clear that allegro itself is in C. So C/C++ would be the easiest choice. I've heard of perl bindings for allegro, and java should be possible as well. But it probably won't be easy.
