Having trouble with DirectX...

I am currently finishing a game that I made in DirectX and am going to put screenshots of it on my web page. But, when ever I run the game and hit button, and then paste that to a paint program (such as the usual Paint in windows) i just get a black screen with a few purple and red dots. Any suggestions...
Are you hitting the print screen button?
That should work for your DirectX game.. or just create a screen shot button and save the primary surface to a PCX file. PCX is an easy file format to deal with and just remember that you have a choice up to 24 bit color =)
