Free Visual Basic .NET 2003
Figured this might be of interest to someone.
Apparently if you view and rate 5 of those movies you get a free copy of Visual Basic .NET 2003

It was on the Gamedev.net news page wednesday, and I believe other threads exist about this topic as well. Although it is somewhat cool that they are giving that away.
There is always SharpDevelop and Borland C# Builder until you can afford the Microsoft IDE for that language, or even an academic version if you are a student, which isn't priced too high.

No, a free copy of the industry standard (C++) would be best. Then we could officialy use that IDE to produce some serious programs.
