Anyone know the release date of DX8?

I think the title says it all. I have heard that DX8 is supposed to be out in October, but I''m not sure if it is true or not.
If anyone know''s when the official DX8 SDK is available, please reply.

There''s no official date, as far as I know.
It should be out late October, maybe November.

DX8 Release Candidate 0 is already out to the BETA folks. I''d expect the late October date is accurate. And no, I''m not on the BETA, but my sound designer is!
I got the official word from the D3D API programmer himself (He was at the XGDC) It will be released approx 3 weeks from today and the next DX release (DX8a) will be out sometime in March prolly.(<---This is still an unofficial release date)
