Is there an escape character for a carriage return? I was trying to do something with this information in my AP CS class, but I couldn''t find what it would be. Luckily, I just got around doing it the original way I wanted to, but I''m still curious... Excuse me whilst I conquer Earth... Commander M (a.k.a. I''m not sure I have understood what you are asking, but if you want to know the escape sequence for a carriage return in C it is \r
the numerical value for a carriage return is 13. 10 is newline. I think 7 is tab, or something.

Are you even trying to be intelligent?
