Hello! I am using Direct3D DX8.1. I have a starship transporter as an X Object inserted into my project, looking right now like this: 050215-4.jpg It has no textures. You can see some lighting, working well. How do I get it look like it is made of metal? Do I need a texture or does it work without textures somehow? In the rendering program (Carrara4) it looks perfectly like metal, but has also no textures (I think it is a shader), how do I make it metal-looking with DX8.1? Thanks a lot! Firle

Look up enviroment maps. They're a simple and fast way to give that metallic look.
