Seems funny but i'm lost in the humor...
Ehh, he thinks Eclipse is inefficient due to it's use of Java. javaw.exe + eclipse.exe = ~50MB Mem Usage at the moment, so I call "bull****". In comparison, iTunes is using 42MB, Steam 39MB, and Firefox 72MB, on my computer at the moment.
So, I call bull :). Had no problems since I started running it back when I had 512MB RAM.
MaulingMonkey are you implying that you now have 2gigs of ram so that you can run iTunes + Steam + Firefox + Java.javaw.exe + eclipse.exe all at the same time O_o j/k. BTW i was using MS VS 2005B but my subscription is over and so is my beta :'( Thinking about going to EB and see how those are ;-). Hope they dont run out.

STFU newbie. It's an exageration, but Eclipse truly does chug relative NetBeans, et al. For mine, the payoff isn't there.

Which compiler or IDE do most of you use.
I use Dev-C++ with MinGW.

To call it an exageration is a understatement. Also... compare joined dates ;-).

A penny really is worth a lot compared to one millionth of a penny.
That dosn't mean I'll work for 1¢/hour...
lol, I have 256 megs of RAM on my computer at home and Eclipse runs fine.
At work: Eclipse for Java; Visual Studio for C++ (and C# and VB if I ever have to use them); notepad/vi for scripting
At home: Eclipse for Java; Dev-C++ with MinGW for C/C++; notepad for Perl
