Hey guys, I might get flamed for this, sorry, I read the FAQ but I couldn't find any information on this. I'd like to know any direct3d books you'd recommend, cause I can look for them but I wouldn't know if they're good or not, and since I'm buying them online, thanks guys, I appreciate any help. OT a little, but I recommend the DX SDK Docs.

They were rather comprehensive last time I checked.
Things change.
I feel like I learned a lot from
Introduction to 3D Game Programming with DirectX 9.0 by Frank Luna.

I would definitely recommend it, and I see that the amazon croud feels the same way.

Forum FAQ: Links to external resources.

This is a good tutorial site that I somehow recently found (possibly a link from the Your Announcements forum). And there was something like nehe for DirectX called neXe, but I don't know if it's still up.

After closer inspection, yes, it's still up here

Good Luck,
Jeff
I also like "Introduction to 3D Game Programming with DirectX 9.0" as a quick guide on how to get started. Make sure you have some Win32 skills. I think the book has a quick start to Win32 in the back.

As far as sites heres a start:

Thanks guys, by the way, nexe, does it have any tutorials? All I see is wiki style site with links that give you definitions of the words, thanks again.
