missing 3ds face data?

Hello, all. I wrote a simple 3ds loader but found that it hass trouble loading certain models that I have found on the net. I discovered that some files dont contain any face chunk data. What am I doing wrong or what other chunks should I be looking at to find index data?

..okay, my post is pretty vague. I'll ask this:
should all 3ds files contain face data? and if it does, is it contained within the body of the mesh chunk?

I don't know the answer, but you can head down to wotsit.org and read the 3ds file spec there and find out easily.

Thanks, Vampyre. though, Ive already seen enough format guides, including wotsits's. Im just gonna have to dump the chunk contents next.
