Help getting started

Im just getting into stuff like this and im wondering what programs i need to mess with things i recorded. perferably something easy and something under 5 dollars(low on money). if you could help me that would be great. thanks in advance tyler

I'm assuming by that you mean a wave editor? Under five bucks? Try www.goldwave.com
You can download a demo that I hear is pretty usable. I don't use it myself, but it may be what you are looking for.

Audacity is an open-source, multitrack sound recording/editing program. It's also totally free, so for the price it can't be beat.
