I went into msconfig on my windows xp home ed because my video playback was slow. I did go into safe mode but can't seem to get out of it. I also went into selective startup. I went back into msconfig and used the mormal startup option but it still is in safe mode or at least not all drivers like sound are working. The D3D 9 test also did not work in dxdiag. I can't get windows help running either. I could use some help guys.

You mean use the cd to reinstall windows xp. Will that overwrite my current files and applications.
