SDL and board game?

Hi, i need to make a domino game variation using just C and some API, i found about allegro and SDL, anybody knows if SDL is the right tool for this particular game?. OBS: it's a board game, not a shooter [Edited by - cyruspy on November 17, 2006 12:12:21 AM]

SDL is very quick to learn, yes; If you are looking to make something in 2D, then SDL could well be your answer (or at least a step towards it).

I don't think 'the' right tool exists; but certainly SDL is a very good bet for being 'a' right tool.
To win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.
Thanks for the answers, i'll start figuring out how to locate the tokens and later build the game
If things haven't changed too much in the last year, the I would say go with SDL: It will give you what you need and I seem to remember it to be a little easier to learn (both are pretty simple, anyway).
