The Sky is Falling
Tonight and through the morning. The 2006 Geminid shower is upon us. Watch the pretty lights up above as mother earth defends herself from the invasion. They're predicting 1-2 meteors per minute. I haven't found any info about whether or not Arizona will see a decent show, but I'm willing to find out the hard way. Just spreading the word...
From the U of A observatory website: "Southern Arizona, due to its clear, dark skies and warm temperatures, is one of the best places in the United States to see this shooting star show." Yay, me!
Yeah for you indeed! There are way too many clouds in the sky (and way too much smog and light pollution) here for much to be seen.
