Question about VSS

We use the VSS to prosses a project,but there is something unpleasure about the *.rc file,such as the BMP,we cant upload them to the server,thus we cant download to everyone's local PC,So,what should we do to handle this?

Just for people who like VSS lock-style system ... Perforce is a very good source control system for small to mid sized teams.

I still prefer Subversion personally, but that's just me.

Good Software: Perforce, Subversion
OK Software: CVS
Bad Software: PVCS, VSS
Haven't Used: Git, SVK, Vault, many more ...
