Is there a problem with this?
I have tried to get it to install and it seems to freeze.
If anyone could give me very easy to follow instructions as to how to get this ide id appreciate it.

I assume you mean 2005? VC++ 5 had no Express Edition.

I assume you mean the VC++ 2005 Express Edition? The online installer works fine for most people, are you getting any errors or is it just freezing? Are you sure it's actually frozen and not just taking a long time?
If you can't get it to work (or if you just want a copy to burn to CD) you could try the Manual Installation (page includes instructions).

sorry for not being clear, yes i mean the 2005 Express Edition.
It could be that the thing was just taking a long time however it had got to a point and stayed there apparantly not doing anything for some time, there was no activity from the program at all in the task manager.
I think i will just download the manual iso and burn it to disk, if its a CD iso it dosnt matter if i burn it to a DVD does it?
Sometimes my lack of knowledge frightens me, but at least im in the right place.
