Has there been a thread on this yet? Probably has. But it seems like the big internet providers are making some progress toward ruining the internet as we know it, a very scary thought indeed. Basically (from what I understand), Net Neutrality refers to the struggle between Internet Service Providers and users, whereby the ISPs want to control the internet, and tell us what we can and cannot do, and charge us different amounts depending on what we want to use the internet for. The ISPs feel like they have created the internet, and there fore it belongs to them and they can mess with it all they please and rip us off in the process. Apparently there are concrete and secret plans for ALL major ISPs to simultaneously implement a major policy change whereby customers would have to purchase internet access much like we now purchase Cable television. That is, for X$, you get access to some basic websites like Google and Yahoo, and for Y$, you get access to more websites like Youtube and Myspace, etc etc. If there is any truth to this then it is absolutely disgusting, no?
