About £17k pa as a games programmer. I'm sitting roughly at 2:1 for personal:living costs.

50k CHF (that's Swiss francs) before taxes, PhD student.

Roughly two-thirds of that go towards taxes + living - the housing market here is insane, though I have to say I live in a rather nice apartment. The rest goes to savings and "luxury" (i.e. holidays, gadgets, book collection...).
