when i use dev c++ to compile a d3d programme, many errors pop up: 51 D:\DirectX SDK\Include\d3d9types.h redefinition of struct _D3DVECTOR' 1116 C:\Dev-Cpp\include\d3d9types.h previous definition of struct _D3DVECTOR' 55 D:\DirectX SDK\Include\d3d9types.h conflicting declaration 'typedef int D3DVECTOR' 1120 C:\Dev-Cpp\include\d3d9types.h conflicts with previous declaration `typedef struct _D3DVECTOR D3DVECTOR' ...... i've linked d3d9 and d3dx9, and included d3d9.h and d3dx9.h. The compile was succeeded for another simple d3d, in which d3dx9 is not needed. can someone help me solve? thx. dev c++ is 4.9.9.0, and the code: // include the basic windows header files and the Direct3D header file #include #include #include #include // define the screen resolution and keyboard macros #define SCREEN_WIDTH 640 #define SCREEN_HEIGHT 480 #define KEY_DOWN(vk_code) ((GetAsyncKeyState(vk_code) & 0x8000) ? 1 : 0) #define KEY_UP(vk_code) ((GetAsyncKeyState(vk_code) & 0x8000) ? 0 : 1) // include the Direct3D Library files #pragma comment (lib, "d3d9.lib") #pragma comment (lib, "d3dx9.lib") // global declarations LPDIRECT3D9 d3d; 1. Your problem is that you have the D3D headers in two places: your Dev-C++ includes folder and also the folder where you installed the SDK.

2. Don't use Dev-C++. It's outdated, busted, and remarkably inferior to other free solutions. Do yourself a big favor and download Visual C++ Express.

3. If you need to post code here, you can use the "code" or "source" tags to format it properly. See the fourm faq for more details.
