Have any of you used this and if so is it a good thing to use versus just straight pygames? livewires, from just the little code of pygames, I've seen seems a bit easier better put together. Though it does use pygames module...so is there any con to using it?

Most people here have never heard of livewires, but it does keep coming up in questions. So the main disadvantage compared to plain PyGame is that fewer people will be familiar with it or able to help with any problems.
