I am making a UI for my game and I am trying to find some images for this. I have tried google and wonder if anyone knows of free graphics for this? eg panels, layouts etc I am using gimp

Try the Visual Arts forum here at gamedev.. there's some stickys at the top which might point you in the right direction.

You can try googling for creative commons <insert what you want here>. :)
