Believe it or not, I see 3D Studio Release 4 pop up on eBay occasionally, and usually for a very reasonable price. I may know a few people who have it laying around, I'll ask them if they'd be wiling to sell it.

I'm still in high school, and I am home schooled, so that won't work. (I don't think)
Sorry, no one seems to have it around anymore that I've talked to. I'm still asking around, and if I find anyone, I'll ler you know.

Hey, I think I found another design software anyhow. Could you take a look at Blender and tell me what you think? You use Truespace, right?
Blender is at http://www.blender.nl
Thanks
Blender is a very, very cool program. The interface is a bit awkward, but the render engine is good, the modeling tools are great, and the animation tools are pretty good as well. Paying the unlock code gices you access to additional features, like a radiosity engine, which is very nice for still images. I'd say its a good choice.

I love the interface, so that is not a problem. So you say that the registered version is powerful enough for game-object creation? Good, I'll get it then.
I am just starting out in the game development field, and I need tools! Do any of you artists still have the old 3D Studio after you got 3DS MAX? Would you be willing to part with it for a small(<$50) fee? Do you know of somewere else I can get it? I need the original disks(don't want license problems)
