Hi all. I got a really powerful laptop for Christmas, so I was wondering what software I was missing out on. Basically, I want a list of free software that relates to game making, like game engine, 3D modeling software, 2D pixel software, server software, vector drawing, animation tools, etc, and it must be FREE and needs HIGH SYSTEM REQUIREMENT, because otherwise I would've probably known about it already.

On your note of server software: You can run those on fairly low system requirements just fine. And it generally is free.

What do you consider to be a "HIGH SYSTEM REQUIREMENT"?

Unity is pretty good if you've not seen it before.

For 3D modeling software, I recommand Blender, but I'm sure you already know it

For 2d, the combination of the filters/placement in Inkscape, and the editing of GIMP is pretty good.
