Psychological Horror Concept

The idea of a sandbox world where you just have one goal- escape- is pretty cool. The main thing I would suggest is add a few close calls where the monster is coming and oh god it's right there but the player solves a puzzle and escapes at the last minute. Randomised timers with inexact clocks can help- I'm low on time but how low?!

I don't have much to add to this thread, but I think your idea sounds VERY interesting.
You could be on to something there, and I'd like to play a game like 'that'.

The fact you were there before they invented the wheel doesn't make you any better than the wheel nor does it entitle you to claim property over the wheel. Being there at the right time just isn't enough, you need to take part into it.
