Is it possible to reconfigure Visual C++ to compile for the Hitachi SH-4 processor? There must be a way to change what platform to use... Thanks

I think you have to go out and buy a separate cross compiling version of Visual C++. Not sure though.

Probably easier to get cygwin/GCC and configure that to compile for the SH4. I hear you can even get the Visual C++ IDE to work with GCC as it's compiler.

I do my SH4 coding under linux, so I'm not 100% sure.

You might get a better response to this in the Console development forum, or even on one of the Dreamcast development sites.

Well, if you want to code for WindowsCE than just go to microsoft.com and download a whole new IDE + compilers + emulators for free (303MB though). It''s calles Microsoft embedded Visual tools and include C++ and Basic.
Oh and yes, you can configure Visual Studio to use GCC, but i dunno how.
