Loading PLY file

Hi guys,
I have downloaded a number of PLY files from the website: http://graphics.im.ntu.edu.tw/~robin/courses/cg03/model/ and now am having trouble while loading several files with encrypted characters (like this one). Does anyone know how to load this type of files? I will very appreciate if you guys point me to several relevant tutorials.

Not sure about tutorials, but assimp claims to be able to load .ply files, its a pretty decent free-license model parser that I've used before.
