or doused in gasoline and set on fire by PETA...

Ok, I've spent awhile on Google trying to figure this one out, and come up dry. Are you referring to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals here, or some other organization that shares the acronym? I had never heard of that PETA setting people on fire, and I didn't think it was specific to Europe either - just curious.

Living in the past is such a terrible way to live, I have forgotten the event of 9/11 mainly because remembering them makes no difference and it would be very hypocritical of me remembering 9/11 especially when things like TB despite being a popular killer never seems to get mentioned and it killed more than both world wars and continues to do so.

With obesity rates increasing, cancer being a number one killer and the environment getting screwed, I think its time we focused on the present issues.

Did I take the bait? smile.png

The environment is not getting screwed--we are. It'll be here when we're long gone.

Anyway, 9/11 probably isn't still important to anyone unless they had a family member or friend die during the attack.

You are in error. I did not have any relatives or friends killed in the attack but it still makes me angry. Then I read this crap which just reinforces it...

If it was up to me everyone who crossed the wall would have been shot the second they tried to raise that Islamist flag over our sovereign territory.

Anyway, 9/11 probably isn't still important to anyone unless they had a family member or friend die during the attack.

If you truly believe that, you fail to understand the world you live in. 9/11 has had enormous ramifications on the political, social and economic spheres.

While I'm with you that PETA are a bunch of nutjobs, I didn't see anything about them setting anyone on fire, and the huffpo article just links to this article:

... as it stands, listing PETA as domestic terrorists seems be more threatening to the general right for citizens to protest than anything else.[/quote]

EDIT: Originally I assumed (and this is purely from the link) that this wasnt as bad as the article made out to sound, simply because the news site was unheard of and popular sites were yet to report, I wish this were the case and that things were exaggerated but it is not

I will leave the vid here simply because it resulted in the events and if you watch it you will probably be wondering "how can such a crappy video provoke so much evil and anger, resulting in the death of innocent people"
