Security for beginners

I remembered that certain pages I saved have Javascript in them which remind me that my server token times out. Although I am reading them offline and have no intend to click anything. Also Chrome saved a changed DOM, but refused to silently overwrite the original file like in an office application. The browser is almost there. It could easily replace the heterogeneous office world for small docs.

I start to wonder why no one wrote games for Excel. It is all there (the other way around) and you can easily persist your state (savegame).

To clarify, the user group for the scheduler (not the game) is a real, finite group of people above 60, which already have agreed to use computers and the interwebs, but who do not want to be online 100%. And they hate FaceBook and Google+ or any other vendor lock in. Some of them now own mobile devices. A browser based app would have an advantage over office based apps there.
