Currently the only laptop that competes with the GS60 is the Razer Blade, of which I have heard good things from other game devs, but I would wait for the 2015 model on that one the 870M is a GPU that runs really hot where as the 970 is a lot cooler and more powerful.

Well, the Razer Blade is rather slim, the fact that Razer was able to squeeze quite powerful hardware into a body that comes close to ultrabook territory in slimness and weight is quite impressive, but I guess thermics where not their top priority.

Actually, upon reading up more on the GS60, Screen must be excellent both in colors and contrast and it is Full HD instead of Ultra Super Quad Whatever HD (which is plenty at 15" and most probably the most a 870M should be handling).

With even some expensive Laptops having mediocre screens, or good screens but with insane resolutions that the GPU cannot keep up with, that is a big pro. Especially when Windows 8 still is not that optimized for ultra high resolutions.
