"The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup is very good as a reference. Not the best book to learn it though.

FYI, Bjarne Stroustrup is the man who created C++.
Yes, I''ve read it, too. It is very good.
The C++ Programming Language -- Really good book especially with a working knowledge of C++; So you can see what you "thought" you knew...

The C/C++ Bible by Jamsas or something like that -- Good for learning and reference if you''re not a profressional yet.

Apparently I missed the part about not having to acquire more books than Amazon.com. DOH! Anyways, best actual reference is programming, reading source, and F1 but I''ll stop here so this doesn''t go completely off topic...

C++: The Complete Reference is excellent. It''s up to date, quite comprehensive, and a relatively easy read.
