How would you go about marketing a single player shooter heavy on story?

I know that single player FPS games aren't rare in any capacity with the popularity of games like Doom (2016), Ultrakill, and newly Warhammer 40,000k Boltgun. I do also know that these games pretty light on story and focus up more on their gameplay, which makes perfect sense. I've been conceptualizing a game that does lean in to its gameplay, but really trying to make the story much more meaningful in the long run. Any ideas how this could be marketed with current trends in gaming?

I would actually start making the game before worrying about how to market it. By the time it's near completion it may be somewhat different from your initial concept.
