Hi!, I'm a c# dev that looks to contribute to a project. I'm willing to learn new engines or programming lenguages, but in that case, a little pacience is needed.
As a lot of us, my dream is to make gamedev my primary source of income, but life get's in the way. I'm trying to get a portfolio, and start my career by offering my help to a project of my interest.
Here's my background and skills I can offer:
- Clean and structured code in c#: Currently I work for a company as lead dev and technical director, so I'm used to be in small-medium teams and of course, manage code in way is accesible to other devs.
- Analysis and implementation of gamesystem modules, such as inventories, gamestate systems (like planning save systems and global lenguage configurations)
- Implementation of custom in-engine menus to interact with gameobjets in a more friendly manner. So you can build your game, without worrying too much in the code.
- Stat systems, modules where the gameflow and event rely on, etc.
My main experience is as a backend dev, so I kind of know more about data operations and systems. You can also count with less expertice, to involve in UI design and gameplay mechanics. Between those two, tho, I preffer gameplay mechanics, such as movement and a little of sprite animations.
In terms of gamedev, I only worked in 2D, I could try 3D, but have more to offer in 2D. Also, the games I'm more interested in joining are roguelikes, deckbuilding games, RPG's, and experimental games. Willing to try other genres if I find them interesting.
Btw, my mother tonge is spanish, so feel free to contact me in spanish, I can handle communication in english too, but as you can see, I can have an error or two here and there. Thanks for reading!
