Well, firstly I am not sure if this post belongs here or in another forum, but either way: I am studying IT Software Development, and specialise in programming and Design is a side-dish ... but I am sure there are Game Design courses around, even though there aren''t here in Australia

Most Designers I talk to have programming degrees as most companies/organisations that I have heard of prefer programmers who can design to specialised designers. But it really depends on the organisation. Good Luck

There is no degree that will get you a "game designer" job. The only thing that will get you there is experience and a proven track record with games. This means either working your way up to that position (as an artist, a programmer, a tester...)within game companies, or finishing a few projects yourself. Finishing projects yourself if you''re not a programmer means that you''ll have to start your own company putting your money where your mouth is, or get lucky enough to find a few volunteers that are good enough to get something done, and will put up with someone calling the shots while they aren''t getting paid.

It''s harsh, but it''s the truth.

People might not remember what you said, or what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel.
It's only funny 'till someone gets hurt. And then it's just hilarious.Unless it's you.
Listen to MadKeithV he is right.
