Hello. I have created a 50/50 alpha blending effect using DirectX 7/Visual Basic. I want to know if it is fast or not.
With a 139x124x16 bitmap I've got 93 fps on my P200 MMX 64MB RAM and a Diamond Monster Fusion video card.
But the real question is: on a full game with lots of sprites, layers, sounds, music and the player, will it be fast enough?
If someone is interested on the source/exe please give me your e-mail.
Thank you all...

"- To begin with, said the Cat, a dog's not mad. You grant that? - I suppose so, said Alice. - Well, then, - the Cat went on - you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."
