I would really be interested on buying such a book. I agree that GDI, DX setup etc. stuff should be rather short and sweet whilst code on the engine should be well documented and explained. Sometimes a certain passage of code can appear cryptic to some readers who do not posess Y skill even tough they posess X skill. Hope I made sense, anyway you have my support.
