There really isn''t such a thing. A chance is only the absense of knowing the whole story. Take the classic 50-50 heads-or-tails coin: It''s only 50-50 unless you know the details of its exact mass distribution and shape, how the wind will interact with it, exactly how the person will flip it, applying which velocities to each atom in the coin, what is the gravity at this altitude and how does it change ever so slightly along the coins arch. See? When you know all these details there is no chance, there is fact. Chance is just when you don''t know. There is no chance.
Never was 50-50 really. Main reason is because there is a small (however finite) probability that a B-1 Bomber will fly overhead and drop a nuclear missile on the penny and blow it up into millions of tiny bits exactly when it''s in the air, and therefore the penny NEVER lands on a side. Thus, it''s really a 49.9999999999999-49.9999999999999 percent chance. NOW factor in the mass distribution, eh?
