Dudes and dudettes! Things are hopping like mad crazy over here and I couldn't be happier. The team is pulling together some great, awesome things for the coming months and you don't even have to wait long to enjoy it as next month we're kicking it into higher gear. Let's go over what's developed this past month.

Newsletter full-ads reminder

If you're subscribed to the GDNet Direct newsletter and have still not seen this post on what the deal is with those ad-only issues that you've received a few times now, please do read it quickly so there is no more confusion over them!

Got a Facebook page for your project? Let us know!

If you have a Facebook fan page set up for your game project, shoot me a link and I will visit it and add it to the GDNet fan page's list of Favorite Pages. You can, in turn, add the GDNet fan page to your page. The option to do so will appear right below the GDNet fan page logo. Let's get some cross-promotion love goin on!

Weekend Reading feedback

I've run out of new ideas for Weekend Reading for the time being, so what say you audience? Anything about the format that you would like changed? Anything you think is missing entirely from the weekly feature? Anyplace else you would like to see it posted regularly? (Right now I also blog it to GarageGames.com in addition to here on the site). As Johnny Five would say: "Neeeeed iiiiinput".

GDNet GDC Mixer is a GO!

Okay now to the really exciting stuff - we're having a party at GDC!! Yes, this is the first time we've ever hosted a general party at the conference and we're really excited about it because... well... it's a party at GDC which means it will be awesome. Plus you get to take home a GDNet shot glass to totally up your geek cred during drinking games.

V5 - the tease is almost over

The itch in your pants that is GDNet V5 is one you'll be able to scratch soon - we will be launching the new site at GDC, or Superpig will die trying (but then if he does we'll resurrect him so he can finish - Superzombiepig!). I should really say "roll out" instead of "launch" because a lot of the V5 functionality will not be there initially, but you will get to check out the new site layout. We'll gradually be transitioning the site and the community over to V5 in the coming months to make sure everyone gets a proper handle on things. Also, superpig has set up a pretty fucking awesome rapid deployment system, which means we'll be able to handle all your feedback very quickly.

As always, updates on the new site development can be found over on superpig's journal

And that's about it

So okay - March is going to be pretty crazycompletely fucking insane. But I'm excited and ready to take it on. Get pumped, people!
