Project Updates

  • Making of: Acclimate Engine - Juliean delves into the architecture of his engine, what it looks like and how it functions currently
  • DMD 'Ware - polyfrag has some new screenshots to share
  • The Bag of Holding - ApochPiQ continues to make progress on Epoch language and its IDE, Era, with both sides fueling features for one another. Right now he's musing over the lack of good encapsulation support
  • Sporniket's log - Game programming while having a busy life - Sporniket gets around to some "boring" tasks he's been procrastinating on and works up a new schedule for moving forward on his project
  • Caveman - Norman Barrows covers how Caveman's code is organized and also how the game handles and utilizes various data structures, in his two latest entries
  • GiTS' Journal - GiTS brings us up to date on some changes in the months since the last update regarding his top-down shooter/RPG project
  • 2d Game Creation - JD_Rushing is switching his project over to Android. It's been almost a year since his last update but he's still plugging away
  • Evolution - studentTeacher has a quick update on what's been happening in the limited time since school started up again
  • From End to Beginning - coremarq has been busy refactoring a lot of code and goes over what's being changed, why, and what is planned

  • Binary Cats - dsm1891 has a great write up of how his rouge-like generates random dungeons
  • dustArtemis ECS Framework -TheChubu has moved his repository over to GitHub and has some notes on changes to configuration files
  • Caveman - Norman Barrows has some more code to share regarding raycasting/raypicking
  • slayemin's Journal - slayemin recaps the fourth month of running his own indie studio, which mainly involved trying to stay focused on the bare-bones prototype. He also has some new screens to share
  • et1337 makes games - et1337 shares the slide deck to his presentation on shaders for Dev Workshop Conf
  • Extremely Usefull Bits - Sotos has C++ drag & drop code to share for Marmalade users
  • The Curiously Recurring Gimlet Pattern - jwezorek goes over generating random numbers from a discrete distribution
